About Rafael

Rafael Gomes de Menezes is an oceanographer (USP, Brazil) with an MSc in Marine Biotechnology (UFF/IEAPM, Brazil). He has extensive multidisciplinary experience in data science and underwater acoustics, focusing on acoustic modeling and signal processing, as well as in coastal monitoring through scientific diving, environmental impact assessments, and public outreach. At CMCC, he contributes to aquaculture research and serves as Operational Service Manager for the Mediterranean and Black Sea Monitoring and Forecasting Center of the Copernicus Marine Service.
